There was a posting in 2007 asking about circumstances when a USA certified official could work at a YMCA closed meet. Would you explain "closed" as used in that context? Also, is this guidance still applicable today (that the USA official can work but not as the referee and only when there are also two YMCA certified officials working)?
Thanks,
Jim

Jim, a YMCA closed competiton meet is a meet involving only YMCAs and is used as a qualifying meet for higher level YMCA meets. It can be a dual meet (two YMCA teams) a tri-meet (three YMCA teams), a YMCA invitational meet (with multiple YMCA teams) or a YMCA champiopnship meet, but it can only involve YMCA teams.
As to the guidance issued in 2007, it is still in effect.
